Yesterday I read a great post about how car enthusiasts show love, and try to experience all kinds of cars.

!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! '

Which gave me the Idea to post the exact OPPOsite. While having an open mind is great, and I encourage it, I also think that all car guys have one car that they hold above all else. Whether it's an emotional conection to that car, or just believing that it really is THE BEST. ITS THE BEST! ITS THE BEST SPORTS CAR!

If you had to have only one car for the rest of you life what would it be? One car to DD, track, road trip, wrench on, whatever, for the rest of your life.

For me it would have to be a 91 Civic hatchback. This is more of an emotional choice for me. I had one for 2.5 years, and lost it in an accident that wasn't my fault. I know it's a stupid choice, I know it's not the best car ever, I know RWD cars are more fun, I know there are faster more capable cars out there, I know this chassis has limitations, and it's a tin can death trap, and they're all rusting away. But I don't care about that. I just want my 91 Civic back. The other factor is that owning a car for the next 40-60yrs mean I'll have lots of time to mod it so that 90hp ecobox that I loved so much would be more like a 300hp turbocharged monster with 265 section tires, and balled up fisted fender flares,... razor wire turn signals, n mean drunk taillights, of coarse all the headlights are frowning.

I've been thinking about getting one of these for a new DD for a while. I'm not crazy about FWD, but their ease of repair, great MPG and light weight seem like it will make for a very good commuter, plus I can get them with a manual. Great post.

For me, if I had to absolutely pick one car that I'd never replace, it'd be a 2013 Corvette Z06, with the 6mt. Serious track day weapon, decent enough mileage, and a snarling American pushrod V8. I'm in the process of saving for one at the moment, it'll probably take me a couple of years but I'm looking to actually make this dream a reality, and given the incoming depreciation for the C6, I don't think that it's going to be out of reach.

My obvious answer: a beige 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid.

Probably my current one - plush, fast, awesome - my '06 C6. All I want for it is a cam, full exhaust, tune, and some semi-gloss black ZR1 wheels, and then lower it on the stock bolts. And maybe some Z51 swaybars.

The FD RX7 Bathurst edition.

276HP, 2200 lbs, and I'll be importing one as soon as I can.

it seems when this question gets asked I always change my answer so, today's pick would be my 68 Camaro. It's my first car and I never want to part with it. Had all the right options- small block V8, Muncie 4 speed, 12 bolt rear, deluxe interior, RS (hideaway headlight). It's a fun driving car that has power and stops ok. Has plenty of room for stuff.

Not bad I loved the only Corvette I've driven a six speed 04 convertable.

Nice, I really like the C5 as well. A 6 speed convertible is surprisingly rare, that's cool.

I'd probably go with a Citroen SM. Other than that being an obviously awesome answer id go for a 2012 Morgan Aero Supersport. Classic looks made modern with modern sports car performance. Plus its front engined rear wheel drive makes the burnout and drift monkeys go bananas. All around boss car though i'll never be in the market for one. Very much so the car i love above all else. p.s. im American and most of my buds that roll "manly" trucks and 'MERICAN cars laughed until i had the chance to drive one for a day. Bonus three windshield wipers

Oh, I'd go even if it were pink and covered in rainbow glitter, but yeah. I have a soft spot for ducktails. :o)

Sure, for the chance to own the most badass version of one of the(in my opinion) most beautiful Japanese sports cars ever.
