So I don't know what it is about this, but it bothers me to no end when people plaster tabs all over their plates. Take this guy for instance
Thats not even the worst I've seen. Plenty of people also put one in the middle (between the W and 1). First of all, the law states that the tab must be in the upper right hand corner. Second of all, it looks absolutely terrible, why would you do this? I try to put my new tab directly over the old tab in the indent made for it to minimize whats going on.
And one more thing, I don't know about Michigan, but how is that license plate frame any sorts of legal - it completely covers the state name (url not included). I know in Massachusetts its illegal to cover the state name and the slogan, but I'm assuming this is OK seeing as how its a dealer frame?

Up here alot of people do it. They figure it is a badge of honor to have had your raggedy rusty camry registered in the Maine state since 96. It also serves to tell people you are not "from away" (or from Mass). It bothers me too. Yo cop, my car is legal. That is why those tags are on there. On Motorcycle plates they started requiring inspection sticker on there too, a little janky

Also, that's 4 tags. Aren't plates issued as new more often than that? Seems like ours are every 2 or 3 years around here.

OH THIS DRIVES ME INSANE!
And I don't know about the license plate frame, I got bugged by a cop for it when I lived in NJ, no complaints from them in MI though.

Eh? My parents have had the same 2 plates since 1996. They just renew them every year. In MA, the only reason to get new plates is if you get into an accident and ruin your old plates. I think if you trade your car and the front plate is bent, they'll have you get a new one too.

Issued new? Out in Oregon, that never happens, you have the same plates as long as you have the vehicle.

Same people who:
Can't hit the target when putting postage on a letter.
Leave old county or parking stickers on their windshield (or back glass), applying the new one right next to them instead of removing them.
Leave the stickers on their appliances.
Unless someone stops them, they will continue. They don't care.

Pretty sure that would be illegal in Ohio, as the county sticker goes ONLY in the bottom LH corner and the registration goes ONLY in the bottom RH corner.

Now that I know how much this bothers you, I'm totally putting my new sticker diagonally across from the old one.

My dad got a different car and still sports the same plate from the car he replaced which was driven (by me because idiot) into a truck at high speeds. It's all sorts of warped.

In some states (Vermont comes to mind), the plate remains with the owner. In others, the plate stays with the vehicle when sold.

Better on the plate than on the fork lower, at least.

Very good. In BC where he is, the plates stay with the plate owner.
