I fear that the problem is worse than just the slave cylinder. The clutch slipped mightily a few times while accelerating.

Ignorant question: What does clutch slip feel like?

Like you have absolutely no traction. The engine revs, but you go nowhere.

when the clutch went in my sexy wrxy it was a very disheartening feeling. Hit boost?? No torque going to the wheels

"What does clutch slip feel like?"
Your engine revs will increase, but your speed will not.
Imagine if you had just driven from the pavement on to an ice rink. You put the throttle down, and the wheels will just spin. (revs go up - speed does not increase) Let up, and the revs will return top normal. Give it a little throttle, and you'll be able to accelerate.
Clutch slip will first show up in the higher gears. 3rd, 4th, 5th etc.. Usually when going up hill, or if you mash the gas around 3000rpm.
Basically, a slipping clutch is now the weakest link of your drive train, and when you ask too much of it, it'll slip.

That's not an ignorant question - you don't know until you've felt it. Even though, you probably wouldn't know what it was until someone (i.e. Mechanic) tells you
