Do not fight the want. Theres a dealership near me, and the owner has an '86 Testarossa that he bought new, never registered it. has 20 miles on it. I keep telling him one day, I'll win the lottery and make him an offer he can't refuse. He just laughs. Won't be laughing when he hands me the keys and title.

I've seen Testarossas go for $54,000 at auction. That's one hell of an investment. I bet not even 20 years from now it will be worth at least 50% more. At least.

I'm shocked they haven't appreciated yet. They've been classics since the day they came out!

A lot of people consider them gaudy and it is overshadowed by the F40 which is multiple kinds of classic: fewer produced, last car Enzo signed off on, and fast as fuck (technical terms, of course).

Personally, I am not a huge fan of the F40. I respect it, but I think it looks stupid. :p

I'll go so far as to say I dislike the F40. I think the 288 GTO deserves all the love and respect the F40 gets.

That one gets overshadowed by both the Testarossa and the F40. I think the 288 looks far better than the F40, but against the Testarossa it's a wash. The 288 is a bit more "retro" while the Testarossa is more forward-looking. Take your pick, both nifty.

Those mirrors on the 288 have got to go, though.

A testarossa as a daily and 288 as a weekend car, with a Triumph Trailblazer 250 as a warm weather beater is my dream garage.

That's a fun garage. I'd probably daily the 288, though, and keep the Testarossa for date night.

My dream garage a little less dreamy: 1990 ZR-1 for daily driving, a small pickup truck for bad weather and projects, and a 1960 Corvette for being flashy. I may even consider a stripped down and race-prepped '89 Corvette for track days.

I don't know the definition of the word "variety." :p
