Two completely different cars, calling it now for the Evo though.

There's no way I'd take an evo over that SRT-8.

What would I do with an SRT-8? It's unwieldy.

I actually prefer the Evo, but I think it has a much more annoying following. Besides, that Charger is looking extra sexy in black and white.

The charger is too heavy and handles like shit.I know this from experience as I owned a Challenger SRT8. on a track(not a strip) the evo would be way faster, down the drag strip the Charger would win. if you want straight line speed get the Charger if you want a great all rounder the Evo is the obvious choice.
on that note this is probably the worst pairing for this WWYR series.

Wrong pairing indeed, and hard to choose a winner. One has the right engine driving the right wheels, while the other has the right transmission. Both are shitboxes.

Why? They're both four door, fast-as-hell cars that I'd cross shop if I wanted a some utility out of a car. I'm a fan of both the big hemi and tuurboo, bulky cruisers and precise handling, so for me I'd have a hard time picking. I drive a MKII autox Supra and a cammed V8 'stang so you can see what I mean. Evidently most of the people on this blog are fans of the tuuurbooo so I figured it would swing in favor of the evo. If you can't merit 470 hp/tq used to light up the back end paired to a comfy ride and killer looks, then I pity you mate.

If they made the SRT with a manual, it would be the perfect car... They don't so I would go with the Evo.

I would actually take the Charger. I wouldn't be tracking it, and there are more straight line roads around here than there are curves.

like I said I had a Challenger SRT8. doing burnout's was about all it was good for. handling is way more important than brute force in my mind. but for a fast as hell highway cruiser the Charger SRT8(or 300 SRT8 would be my choice) would be hard to beat for the money.
but for the price of the Charger SRT8 you could get a Corvette C7 which would be much better way to spend $55000 IMO.

If I was heading to a track or autocross every weekend, Evo.
I'm not, so Charger it is

The Corvette would be better at this price, but only if you don't need the space of the Charger.
Sometimes I hate the 'but you could have this' argument. Yes, it's true, for the price of the Charger SRT8 you could have a Corvette, but maybe you need 4 doors and a trunk and can only own one car. Or maybe you can own multiple cars, but can't show up to work in a beater sedan, etc. etc.

charger would be super fun at autox. You won't be fast, but throwing around a heavy car is a barrel of monkeys
