If you don't know about Auto World: the Mustang is already pretty rare since these "Ultra Reds" make up only 3% of the production run for each car. But that still means there are quite a few in the world and it's nothing to brag about (much). The Impala, however.... It's one of only ten like it. I think this is the most limited-production Chase version of any toy cars. Only ten exist without paint, and somehow I managed to find one of them. I own 10% of the world's supply, and these are much more collectible than you might think. I could easily make $100 on eBay right now (they cost $5 in stores) or, if I wanted to, I could start the bidding much higher and possibly get up to $300. It's hard to tell since they don't show up on eBay a lot (considering they hardly even exist) but I do know that a few times I've looked before, I've seen some going for around $200 (with bids; I don't mean just the asking price) so yeah. I'm not sure if I want to sell it now or what, but it's probably the coolest thing I have ever found since I started collecting stuff.

This is why I don't really pay attention to production numbers. I'm never lucky enough to stumble upon anything that rare.
I just buy what I like and can afford.

Fascinating. So this is new? And can be found (with tons of luck) for $5 at a retailer? Am I getting that right? How does the company decide where to send these things? And why don't they just sell them for that big prophet?

Same here, usually. I just like to learn about rare things on the off chance I stumble upon one. Turns out it paid off. :D

It is new, yeah, and $5. I honestly don't know. I think it sort of works as a publicity thing on their part. Gives an incentive to always look at their products in hopes of finding something rare, but in looking through them you end up finding more stuff to buy.

Auto World is probably my favorite line right now, I mean, for once in my life I'm going to go ahead and "collect 'em all!".

Yup, Auto World just got started last year, and they're already one of the best brands around. Their only falw is limited model selection, but that's expected when the brand is like 9 months old. The Chase pieces are included among common cars so anyoen can find them with a little, or a lot of luck. I may not work for them, but I'm still gonna tell you to go out and buy some because I want this line to go on for a loooong time, and the best way to do that is supporting and spreading the word, so, yeah, go out and buy Auto World Cars right now!
