NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO! Instead of the NHTSA mandating all of these expensive (and heavy and stupid and unnecessary) "safety devices" to cars, why can't they instead mandate better DRIVERS EDUCATION so people CAN ACTUALLY DRIVE instead of relying on their cars to DRIVE FOR THEM!

It is. Drives me mad. Like the whole rear back up camera by 2018 mandate. are they a fun cool toy to show off to your friends? Yes. Will they ruin your Miata? Yes.

I kinda have to agree, mainly because cars are getting much faster then they were a few years ago, average cruising speeds on the freeway around me anyway seems to be in the upper 70s -80s and more over as I grow older my reflexes will not be what it was either and Id rather have something like this to prevents the other idiot from hitting me. Assuming Im not the one at fault. (maybe #flamesuiton?)
