So as I mentioned !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , our house was ready to list. We listed it that night, it went online yesterday, had someone look at it yesterday at 5:30, and had an offer by about 7. It was a decent offer, but a little low. With the house JUST being put on the market, we are going back with a counteroffer today. They are willing to pay all closing costs, so hopefully we can keep that part of the deal.

So freaking stoked and stressed all at once. So here's an Aston Martin.

That's awesome. The housing market is hot right now for sellers, not a lot if inventory out there.

Good luck! We are listing ours in the next couple of days. Photographer is coming tomorrow to take pictures. Hopefully it sells fast because 2 mortgages sucks.

Luckily we do not have to mess with that. Buying the new house from family. So it will not be mortgaged until our current house sells.

God I can only pray mine goes that fast when i put it up.

Congrats, at the very least you have a potential buyer in under 24 hours, and if they're interested....more will be!

Thanks! And that is kind of how we are looking at it. If they are not happy with our counter offer, oh well. LOL

Yea man I'm really just hoping and praying we get that lucky when we list.

It's time for me to spend a month doing all the fixes like you guys did. Just got the new fridge washer and dryer today. Did the garbage disposal and sump pump last month.

If i replace any other major appliance I'm going to have to stay!

Well good luck with all that. Luckily I worked a 2nd job, so I did not have to partake in a lot of the work.

Aaaaand, just found out, we have another showing today at 5. LULZ!!

I'm hoping it turns into a money stand off between them. Then all we have to do is stand back and let them come to us with wads of cash!!

And I was lucky my in-laws are awesome. My father in law did a ton of work. But in return i had to work part time at Walmart, so yeah.

what's your normal "day job"?

I give props to people that are able to set aside a slice of pride and go work a second job, especially a crappy one. My father in law did that a few years ago. As the VP of a printing company he worked as a cashier at mcdonalds. The mortgage payment was more important than his pride and I'll never respect him more for it.

Odd you should mention print...I buy print!

My title at my day job is "Print Specialist". To really over simplify it, I handle requests from marketing, retail group, and the mailer program for printed materials. I buy printed materials for a baby nutrition company. I love it though.

But yeah, that's why I do it, for extra cash. I want to retire in about 20-25 years, and I'd rather work a little at Walmart now, then struggle later. And this is the 2nd time I've done this. I did it for about 6 months back in 2011 to get our savings built back up a little. This time around, the money has helped pay for part of a Disney trip coming up next month, and the home renovations to sell the house. But I will probably be quitting in the next couple of weeks. If I get a bonus from my main job next week, that will cover my wife and I's trip out to Seattle later this year. Then I should be done at my 2nd job.
We aren't hurting financially, but the extra $500-ish dollars a month helps.

Hell yea it does.

I'm of the mindset that the most honorable/biggest accomplishment is providing for my family. I've made moves and jumped around companies a bit to do it, but we're finally getting to a more comfortable place.
