We have short memories. Scan some FB or social threads about the GM scandal. People say things like I only buy a Ford/Toyota/Audi/etc. because I trust they'd never cover up a safety issue. And I can only wonder how many times they visited Lacuna, Inc. to forget? Or maybe they just don't pay attention.

Anyway, who do you trust?

I don't like any cars Honda currently makes, but they are absurdly reliable in my experiences with them.

Also, I was in two different car crashes with Toyota (one involving tumbling down a hill) and was unscaved through both incidents.

Hey, I trust GM just fine. They made it perfectly clear when they first went on sale that Cobalts, Ions, etc. were shit cars. AND SO IT CAME TO PAAASS.

I don't really trust anyone completely, but you can usually tell who I have the most faith in by what I let my wife drive. Which is Subaru.

Morgan. How could you not?

They still make wood frames, safety FTW, and are too small to be a nuisance. Oh the damn key turned itself off? damn thing is British. Nothing to lie about

Toyotas with cable TB's. Most reliable cars ever.

I like to make a habit of posting recall information for my FB friends to see. I posted about the GM truck recall yesterday and got responses like "Glad I drive a Nissan" and "Don't hear anything about my Jeep"

So I posted Nissan's quiet recall, and then Chrysler's GC/Durango recall this morning. Those people have promptly shut up

Personally, I trust whichever manufacturer I choose to at that time, after investigation and research. Since I've never had a recall or any major issue (save that VW one time that nearly nuked itself once past 100k miles) I'd say my judgment is pretty solid :)

I trust all of them to act like major corporations. Sometimes there are oversights, sometimes there are mistakes, sometimes there are coverups. Companies so big one hand doesn't always know what the other hand is doing. It's just not possible to respond to all the information you are given, IF you are even given it. Engineering is pretty good at all of them, but all of them make little mistakes. The problem is that little mistakes turn into big deals because MEDIA, SAFETY, FIREY DEATH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i think i'd have to agree saying Morgan is the most trustworthy of automakers.

I doubt they've ever had a recall.
