As you may have seen, about a month ago, I bought my first project: A slightly rusty Geo Tracker 5 speed 4x4 that leaked a bit of oil.

I started working on the tonka truck by replacing the leaky valve cover gasket and oil fill cap. Picture of massively not powerful 1.6L with leaks below.

After driving ~150 mi with the fixes, the oil level has remained steady and the valve cover is noticeably less oiled. I will mark this up as a win.

The last bit of work I did was install a back seat. The original floor had rusted out so bad the original owner installed a new one but didn't bother replacing the seat and seat belts. So i went to my local auto salvage, pulled a bench seat and seat belts from what I hoped was the same model. Luckily it was and all of the seat belt mounts bolted right in. The seat however was a different story. I drilled holes through what seemed like 3 layers of flooring to bolt the seat in. However after only 4 hours, the seat is in.

Now it will Baby! My 1.1 year old loves to ride in it with the top off.
