Actually the ones I see look like this.
There are 2 in my smallish home town, both diesels, both clean as hell.
Also my smallish hometown is overrun with rednecks in Mustangs.

my smallish hometown only has douchebags driving shitty W123's, and really clean Foxes. Of course there is a dragstrip very close by so that may influence it a bit. (all in good fun, the spirit of competition) All the rednecks here drive run down 80's Camaros

Man you really gotta pick your smallish hometowns now-a-days. I almost bought a 80's Camaro when I was 16 because I didn't want to blend in with the mustang rednecks.
Just goes to show you can't trust a redneck … always be shifty.

I like the Fox body.
But for the purposes of this contest, it can't hold a candle to the W123.
Nothing can.

Sure it can, it's cheap to buy, cheap to drive and cheap and easy to fix. The perfect beater.

The w123? True. And insanely durable on top of that. That's why the Fox doesn't stand a chance. Especially if people outside of North America vote as well. The W123 is still the taxi of choice in many African countries, three decades after discontinuation.

Too bad your 2nd example is a Benz but not a W123?

It gets the point across, and was more about having a little fun with Milky by blatantly plagiarizing his post by only changing only one word and the pictures. It looks exactly like every other rusted out beat down W123 out there. and W115 is close enough for what I needed so I'm not at all worried about it.

Don't know where you are but those beat up and utterly rusted W123 you don't find over here no more (Holland). All exported to Africa/Arabia/Eastern Europe. Only W123's you see over here look decent.
But then again: don't see any fox-bodies over here either.
And I'm not worried, just displaying my useless knowledge ;-)

Usually everything that comes here dies here (US) So you can find just about any car in any shape from perfect to rusted dust. Did you see Milky's post, that's this same post but about the Fox Body? That was my inspiration for the post. I like both cars though. Had a friend in high school with a diesel W123 with almost 300k miles on it. Still rode super nice and always started and ran well.

So no export to Mexico or even more southern? I didn't see Milky's post, just checked it out. And thought: 'Well, i'd rather drive a W123 looking shit than a Fox-body looking awful. Because it still drives ok and almost everything will work.' As your friend's W123 with 300k did. Big fan of Ford V8's though, had a '06 F150 over here for 3 years but with fuel-prices like this over here that's no longer a responsible option...

I live up north in Ohio so I'm not real sure how many cars make it to Mexico from the states that are close. There is a big problem with cars being stolen and smuggled to Mexico for the drug cartels but I don't know anything about legitimate imports.
