My grandpa is way too uppity to raise his middle finger. He'd smack those priuses (prii?) with his cane out the window of his W123 though.

Too bad (or too good?) here in Indonesia we don't have those kind of asshat prius.
Because if we had one, i'll daily drive my brotther's 300TD and create clouds of smoke everywhere we go.

No.
The first and last mustang ever sold in here was the first generation.

You don't know what your missing, the Foxes made the mid 80's to early 90's exciting when most cars were boring junk.

Well, at least in Indonesia we got quite of brilliant car at the 80's, like Mazda Cosmo Rotary Turbo (190hp from 1.1 liter in 1980's), Some Citroens with Hydropneumatic Suspensions (unreliable but amazing when it was working), Crown with 1JZ, and of course the W123 itself.

We didn't get any of the cool Japanese cars, or any citroens. everybody was rolling around in the god awful Chrysler K cars.

I never drove that thing, but it looks awful.

they were junk. My mom had an 85 lebaron convertible and it never ran right, even with only 30k miles. It surged and smoked at random times and the dealer could never figure out why.

Damn.
That looks worse than my Kia Sephia. I had one, it's both brilliant and awful at the same time.

Yep, it was her first convertible, luckily the nastiness of the K car didn't affect her desire for top down motoring. She followed the K with a 92 mustang convertible that I got when she bought a Toyota Celica convertible. This is what the lebaron looked like

That looks awful.
It's looks like what if Pontiac designed a miata based on the other K-Car.

But the lebaron looks smaller..
Anyway, i remember my Sephia. Here in Indonesia, Sephia was considered a national car because it was rebadged as a "Timor" in here. The MSRP was only 2000USD back in the day, where the Corolla was 5x more expensive than that.
And my father bought one as his beater, then gave it to me when i was old enough to drive.

yeah!
Plus the sephia has no power at all under 4000rpm. So it's either you drive it like a rental car or drive it like a grandma.

My first car was like that also, it was an 86 Celica automatic with like 92 horsepower. Slow as a dog so it was full throttle all the time.

yeah, mine has about 90hp as well. At least it was manual tough.
the worst part was kia decide to skimp on fuel pipe and make it as thin as possible, to save weight save cost, so it was leaking some fuel odor to the cabis sometimes.
