I had a Mechanics of Materials (Deformable Bodies) test Thursday, got it back today. Fluid Mechanics and German tomorrow, not too hopeful on Fluids. These are midterms though.

ehhhhh. i have mixed feeling about it.
Looking back it it, it was a decent bike for what it was. it got me from point A-B, it did it relatively well, and it actually quite a popular bike
fun story: me and older friend of mine went to a bike meet once. he was on a 30th anniversery BMW R1200GS Adventure. i was on my bule.. the buell got waaaaayyyyy more stares and look and questions. it actually pissed my buddy off XD
it was cheap, simple, easy to maintian (belt drive, self adjusting Valves, etc etc) and it got 70mpg. (and it sounded kinda mean. 500cc of THUMP)
HOWEVER. it had a MAJOR design flaw: carb wasnt actually bolted to anything. it was held by the throttle wire, and the 2 boots. one from the airbox, one to the motor. and because of the THUMP, it ate throw 2 of the motor boot in under 5000km. they werent fun to replace either. in the end, i ended up starting a pipe connector on it (rubber connector with a steel sleeve) and it seemed to work. also: the gear selector fell off a bunch of times (wasnt bolted on right) and the wiring harness died on my once. IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FREEWAY.
would i have it as an only bike? god no.
would i have it kinda as a little toy to pottle around the neighborhood, maybe teach someone else how to ride, or turn it into a bad-ass cafe racer? yes, i would.

I just remembered we talked before :/
I considered one as a commuter a while back, I still like the looks and sound. I ended up putting more money down onto a Gw250.

Yeah, it's a good bike. Not very fast, but I knew that when I bought it. Im looking to upgrade to a 600 relatively soon.

You were showing your sport bikes and I was showing what I am interested in. No real connection, I guess.

ah, ok. i thought u were asking if i was willing to negotiate on a duc 620.
I like ducs....but maintenance and insurance in canada (they are 'exotica' bikes here) scares me.
