This commenter stated that front turn signals are not used or needed 99.9% of the time, so I joked about his BMW. I was seriously unaware he owned a BMW, and I thought he was joking with me, but I checked his thread history, and he talks about his BMW.

I don't think he is. I didn't really have the energy to argue the "pro" side of using turn signals, so I went for the cheap joke. I was probably guilty of being a bit douchey honestly, but he was still kind in reply.
