Saw this when I went to dinner with the lady.
Peaceful, quiet, and uneventful birthdays are my favorite.
G'night Oppo.

DUDE. DUDE! Small friken world! I know exactly where you went to dinner. Its literally 5 mins from my house. chatterbox! Not to be creepy or anything, but wow. What are the chances. I was there about a week or two ago and that car was there. Are you a sussex county local as well?
And happy belated birthday.

Thanks!
If you go to the cruise nights, you've seen me many times. I don't live in Sussex, I live in Morris. I go to the cruise nights nearly every weekend, and have been for now 3 years. I bring the SL600 Sport (V12 monster) and park with the newer muscle cars. This past summer I was the guy shooting video and up on the roof of the building shooting timelapses and video.
They keep the cars around for about a month at a time usually. I know the owner pretty well, he's a great guy. The history of the restaurant is also really amazing, I'm shooting a documentary about The Wanderers, The Chatterbox and the Two Kids Foundation. Watching the cars get put in is a real treat. We should try to do an Oppo dinner there some night with a bunch of people. If we do it on a Sunday afternoon, Don would probably let us park on the grass too (for the nicer/show cars).
My girlfriend's house is like right on the line between morris and sussex, so it's about a 15 minute drive from her house. About 35-45 for me depending on traffic, but it's a great drive. The back roads getting out there (for me it's 46 to 206) or just going straight out there (46 to 15) is a wonderful drive with the top down, or just the windows down in my personal car.

I cant say i remember an sl600... But i will surely be on the lookout now. I dont always go to the cruise nights as we usually would go for dinner, and obviously it becomes a mad house there. However, i do end up at a good amount of them, or the motorcycle nights.
Thats pretty awesome your doing a documentary on all that. You doing a public broadcast of it or an online documentary thing?
Id be in for an oppo dinner there. We actually went to HP state park for the last meet in november. There are some really good roads withing 10 minutes of chatterbox i tend to go on rather frequently just for fun.
I dont know if my prelude would be a show car, especially if youve got an sl600 haha.

Once it's really done (there's some pieces of it online that I use as reference material for work), I plan on submitting it to film festivals, and maybe even asking Don and The Wanderers for a private showing in the Chatterbox if they're interested.
I missed the run to High Point, I remember it was a ridiculously foggy day, I had the SL600, and I was a little scared of having a problem with it, because my neon was in the shop after hitting a deer. I actually fell asleep at my girlfriends house, and remembered the meet when we woke up and it was pretty much over. Now that I know some of the regulars that go to the cruise night, it's really fun.
Just a little frustrating that the SL600 is tough to get into shows. Even up at the C&C event yesterday, they wouldn't let me in right away, but as soon as I managed to squeeze in, people were all over it.

Id show up to watch that if you could get a screening. Have you thought about contacting the newton theatre? Or the sussex county community college? Could get some showings there.
Very foggy indeed. I dont know many of the cruise people because i tend to think they look down upon the cars me and my friends have. We dont necessarily have the v8 classic muscle that defines chatterbox.
Dang, i would think there would be no trouble getting an SL600 into anything!
I dont know if you like these sort of meets, but im going up to this one. I went to the season closer last year and it was a blast. SO much variety in cars. From exotics to custom builds.
