It's not directly against it, but states it causes bruising of the upperback LINK

I'd look up HANS device spine fracture. I know what you're looking for, and I do know people who swear against the HANS design and use the ones that brace to the lower torso, but I dont really have enough time to search right now or know of any sources off the top of my head.

If I may inquire, what is the purpose for arguing against a HANS or similar device? Simply curious, not a slam against anything.

It can make removing the helmet a difficult affair, thus incentivizing drivers to leave their headgear on during off-track confrontations.

Oh no, I am WAAAAAY for the use of them. I am doing a persuasive English essay so I need an argument against it as well as for it.

Seriously though, in racing series' which have a high budget, its absolutely unacceptable to NOT use them.

High cost ? Cheapest FIA ones are 650—700. (worth it)

On a side note the only thing on that 914-6 that looks original are the door sills, window frame, and trailing arm. Wow that is a build.

It wasn't even a 914-6 originally. Its such an insane build. I think this is it:

Perhaps you should have chosen something that is not so one-sided, like the pros and cons of driver benefits like lane assist and radar cruise control.

Awkwardness? You could argue that while the HANS device is excellent, there could be another solution that is just as effective but not as awkward, thus persuading more drivers to use it.

The other thing would be cost. If there's a cheaper solution that's just as effective, that would also persuade more drivers to use it.

But it's not one sided. I've heard people arguing the cost, the awkwardness, the inconvenience, etc.
