I'm with you on that one. I'm not the biggest fan of them either, I'm not a fan of the circular spokes. If I recall correctly you have Oz, or Sparco wheels on your Gti?

VMR V701s baby! Not by choice, more coincidence, haha. I had the Lagunas (OEM), but cracked one. VMRs belonged to a friend and sort of fell into my lap.

I'd love a set of 3SDM 0.06's, but I have no moneys right now. I'm also curious about the Fifteen52 Snowflakes in 18x8.5, but I'd have to see them to be sure it wouldn't look dumb on a MK6.

Same, Ecs Tuning seems to have a good selection of 3sdm wheels. I've got a thing with the 6's and the 0.05's. I've also got a thing with Rh cups.

Well I'm always at Katie's, provided I'm in town and it's not raining. As for the Phaeton coming by, last year would've been the time to ask. I spent eleven thousand dollars at the dealership in service and repairs. But it is coming up on 85K miles, and when it does, it will be back in.

Yup. There are a number of other wheels I really like (IMPUL SILHOUETTES AW YIS), but they wouldn't really work on my car. I wish the 0.06's came in 3-piece too, but then again they'd probably be stupid expensive then, haha.

I had my 80K-mile service, plus new xenons for the headlights and four brand-new tires, which came out to just over $4,900. I also had a clogged sunroof drain cause a slow leak into the interior, which caused thousands of dollars in water damage.

That's what the dealers have told me every time I've gone in for service in the last year. From what I gather, cars are released to all North American dealerships at the same time to prevent favouritism so hopefully you'll get more info soon.

Yep. Getting one for a test drive is going to be ridiculous; if past new model releases like this (MK6 Golf R) are anything to go by, for the first several months we'll be selling them before they even arrive; it'll be 99% orders.

The good and bad of having such a popular car on sale, haha. I wish they would release the R along with the Golf and GTI, but its never that way. How long do you think is the wait for the R? Sorry about all the questions, you seem to know most of the answers and my brother is interested in the GTI/R as his next vehicle.

The R is supposedly slated for a Jan/Feb 2015 release - that's what I'm planning on trading my 2013 GTI in for. As soon as order guides release I'll be posting it in Oppo, as I believe there are a few others here who are interested as well.

Side note: our new web training for the MK7 GTI and Golf released today - so much new cool shit! I'll post some highlights this afternoon after I finish it. I'm so psyched, haha.

I'm also enrolled in a track day with the new Golf and GTI in the middle of May - me and about 5-6 other sales consultants from my dealership were selected to go get some seat time. If they let us I'll take photos and stuff. It's going to be amazing.
