Didn't he have a flat that left him with the back markers? I couldn't watch the race, I had to read liveblogs, but 6th place (edit: 12th place, wtf Telegraph why are you so wrong) after getting stuck in the back of the field isn't bad.

Mag ran up the inside early in the race and got his front wing into Kimi's rear. Kimi pretty much ran a whole lap on it, which usually isn't a problem, but at a fairly high speed for having a down tire. I suspect that this caused a problem with the rear of car that plagued him for the rest of the race.
