The wind noise is too high. I need a fairing but they're so expensive for what they are. Has anyone built one? I'm sure I could get a sheet of plastic but I don't know how I'd attach it.

Edit: A fairing for a roof rack

Just to be clear, a fairing for what?

I made one for a roof basket, I guess the same thing would apply for everything else. Used a thick plastic sign, drilled some holes in it, and used wire clamps bolted to the plastic to wrap around the front bars on the basket. They were the rubber coated ones for the least amount of slippage.

A roof rack. Not a motorcycle.

Should have specified. It's for a roof rack.

just looked over some of ur other photos. honestly, best (cheap) way i can think of doing it is VIA zip ties. 1 each side at the frame rail, and then a line along the top on the bar going across

The Yakima one works sooo perfectly if your car is just the right shape. 100% noise cancellation unless there's a strong crosswind.

But it also costs about $90. I just want to be able to use my sun roof and be able to carry a canoe.
