Got home today at 11:30 to perform some HVAC work, ended up not being able to. Why? !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!
I arrived home to my back gate open and an officer in my driveway. As I approached, he asked if I was the homeowner then proceeded to tell me my back yard is a crime scene! I don't know the ins and outs, but the shooter tossed his snubnose .38 into my back yard. I got to sit with the officer for 5 hours until CSI arrived and removed the evidence.
I did make a new friend out of this, though. The officer saw my SPG and we talked about cars for a while. He's not a car guy, but he did buy a 2005 F250 PowerStroke that he has been dumping some cash into so we talked about the truck and whatnot. He never took me up on my sweet tea offer, but whatevs. Maybe he'll come over for smoked burgers some time lol. Anyhow, that's my Friday. I'm going to have a beer or three now and settle down.

Nope. They banned large capacity magazines, but definitely not guns. It's an open carry state and super easy to get CCW

Yeah this does not give me much comfort about my neighborhood. This, the chase/shooting that happened last month, the armed man walking the school grounds right up the street, methinks this is not exactly a nice place. Wife and I will be getting CCWs in the near future.

Yeah, that's a good idea. An alarm system an Cctv systems would be good to have. My neighborhood has been deteriorating recently. Street racing is becoming a big problem, and vehicle theft.

I don't have a CCTV setup so far, It's on my shortlist though. I've been eyeing this one though, it's not too pricey either.

I think she was into not good things with not bad people. She might have owed them money or something. I'm pretty happy I didn't see that.

That's the worst kind. If it was accidental, then that would yield for some closure.
I woudln't imagine how it would be to discover something like that.
