My uncle had one of those! It didn't have the roof bulge and it was red if I remember correctly. It also had problems with hydraulic suspension.
Fun fact: I think those roof bulges were only used in Finnish market to make use of taxation loophole.

Good God, 500€ ? If the suspension is sound that's a bargain. Even in France BX estates are rare.

yeah that is all usually pretty easily fixed. I was poking around for a 4wd BX Break but am a little scared of adding another system to fail to it

I know I have been looking at them. There is one 4wd one with 60K km on it and in perfect shape, but like 5000 euro

Yeah, I'm not sure was it the suspension or some other issue that caused him to sell it. Buying cheap beaters and keeping them alive is a hobby for him.
