Seriously what is under that tarp???
This just drove by my dealership and we were all in awe of the 10 police car convoy that led it.

That's strange. Much government happenings in your area?

Uranium. With a three-feet-thick lead container around it.

There is a military base south of us, Camp Atterbury.
Weird.

Back in high school, my friends and I spotted convoys like that on a few seperate occasions hauling what we think were things from a nearby decommissioned nuclear power plant. Or aliens, because marijuana.

I'm saying it's the NSA

Hmmm, that is strange. Police escort makes it even stranger.

Definitely not helping their case lol

That's what we were thinking!

Possibly some sort of chemical? Or something low on the periodic table that weights, and is worth quite a bit.

Indiana? I went to IU. Where are you located?

My guess is the length is what brought the local cops out to escort it through town. It is obviously heavy. I see a lot of weird stuff traveling through my state because of nuclear storage facilities at Kirtland AFB and Los Alamos and WIPP. Even WIPP trucks are not near that heavy.

I've uesd those before. They move really heavy consolidated things.
We moved 600 and 700 ton stamping presses. 5 or 6 of them.
Not at the same time BTW.

Yeah, I was thinking exactly the same thing! It had to be something really dense.

Yep! I live and work in Franklin!

That's crazy, I don't think we've got anything like that nearby which is why it was so out of place.

That's got to be ridiculous to drive! I can't even imagine what the pusher truck is thinking or how to help.
![]() 03/27/2014 at 21:59 |

My best guess would be something like Osium. Couldn't be sure though.
Was that a push truck?
![]() 03/27/2014 at 22:04 |

Yeah, it was all in one with a normal semi puller and a semi pusher. It was massive!

Now I'm super curious, Haha

Sorry. Clarification, I didnt drive it. My presses where I worked were moved. The pusher actually is to drive part of the trailer when empty. 2 ungainly vehicles vs. 1 ridiculous vehicle. The whole thing colapses on air suspension. They had a giant a frame outside and when the giant skateboards and forklifts got it to the door they picked it up and turned it flat. Then drove the truck under it.
Basically instead of working I watched a once in a lifetime event. No one did much that day....
Tben a few years later I had to move twice as many....

That's still crazy! I can't even imagine how anybody came up with such a monstrosity. It's just plain ridiculous!
