...Then I dont know what to tell you

It just killed the supercar killer. Its funny how EVERYONE complains about the Z28's weight, yet neither pobst or liberman whined about it, and BOTH preferred the camaro. Imagine what's gonna happen when the Z06 comes out

That's corvette money, I'm not the biggest fan. Glad they made it capable of turning finally, the 302 was way ahead of it.

I saw one of these on the road the other day. Pretty sure my sudden pants expansion broke my seatbelt, but I'm ok with that.

Holds 1.05g on the skidpad (more than most supercars), has plenty of power, and plenty of brakes. I dont think weight is a problem.

"Hand assembled, 7.0 liter, dry sump, 427 V8". Talk about a sentence that makes my pants tight.

It's fair to say Stevenson made the right choice running this beast in Continental Challenge.

I think a lot of it has to do with its tires. They are pretty aggressive. It is the reason why it holds so many G's in the corners.

Can't wait for this car! It seems like it's going to be a damn good ride.

Best road racing muscle car for sure, but the Gt500 is still the most ridiculous.

Did you see one of these or did you see the nearly identical SS with the appropriate trimmings? I've been fooled before.

I still think the GNX was the best factory muscle car ever.

That is a good point but I'm not sure it matters since they both look amazing.

Though it was probably an SS.

Weighing over 3800 is a problem because everything awesome it does first has to overcome that fact, and it would do everything better with less wear, heat, and stress if it had 600 pounds less to drag around. Imagine if it started at 3200, which isn't even that light, and then they did all the weight reduction like AC delete, etc...

Yeah, but for Corvette money you can blow the engine at a track and still get it warrantied. That is part of the reason for the inflated price.

As if it is hard to find a LS7 with a warranty

Kinja'd!!! crowmolly > Reigntastic
03/27/2014 at 10:33

Kinja'd!!!1

A warranty that covers abuse while racing?

The Z06 is not covered if you blow it at a track, nor is the LS7 crate. The warranty doc explicitly states that.

You can lie but you run the risk of being denied.

Kinja'd!!!0

Same warranty as the Z/28.

Kinja'd!!! crowmolly > Reigntastic
03/27/2014 at 10:43

Kinja'd!!!0

No.

Members of the Camaro team have gone on record saying it's covered, and there is written documentation to back it up. The Z06 does not have this and there are plenty of stories of warranty claims being denied.

I looked online for any documentation of that and didn't find any, do you have a source?

Here is a thread on Camaro5 with a link to the owner's manual.

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthr…

There are lines in the owner's manual but nothing specific enough IMO.

There is another .pdf floating around that is more clear but I can't find it. It is the warranty manual. That is the one that really matters. I think it may be on GMI somewhere.

Yeah, I'd want something a little bit more specific. Warranty claims are pretty fickle already, all you have to have is plausible deniability. Only time will really tell.

Yeah they do. The 5th Gen should have had this rear clip from the beginning, that's how much better I think it makes the car look.
