51K? Seriously? A very pedestrian 72 Mustang with a shitty colored interior? I need a TV show too, so I can have people way too much for cars.

Last I saw, the bids were up to about $200k. So I am guessing a lot of back peddling and pulling out began once the auction was over.

Yeah, I'm assuming so, I saw as high as $200,200. A buddy of mine and I were talking how many badass cars you could get for that price.

IMHO, the last good early Mustangs were the 70's. After that, nothing worth owning til the appearance if the Fox bodies, and they were marginal handling cars with good-for-the- time power.

Yeah, for that money, you could get 9.10 V6 Mustangs!

That's about what a Boss 351, the best 71-73 Mustang, would go for, isn't it?

I saw that one too and nearly spat coffee on my screen. It is at best a $15k car. Auto, 302, new paint. 72s are just not that collectible.

I wouldn't even say it was that much. I think they only sold it on ebay because they knew they would take a loss otherwise.
