Man, I missed this place.
Moved to a new house (an actual house this time, not a singlewide or doublewide), didn't get internet until about an hour ago.
In the days since, though, I did pick up some more diecast cars, and I thought I'd show them to you all.
The first four are from a Walmart (the same one I got my Matchbox Volkswagen Saviero Cross from), and all are 2014 models.
They were on sale for $0.84 each, and apparently they restocked since when I got the VW there, as they were also the first store I've seen the new 8 car 'Mustang 50 Years' set (not to be confused with the 'Mustang 50th' set in the 2014 Mainline) cars, which they had all 8 in stock, but I refuse to buy them unless I've got the money to buy all 8 at once, which I didn't.
- Covelight (Note: It has glow in the dark wheels)
- Custom '64 Galaxie 500 (Been looking for this for a while)
- Lamborghini Aventador J (Finally found this one!)
- Sandbaster (Modified SVT Raptor, I know a few other Oppos have this one. Finally found one that didn't have a damaged package.)
Then, there's this GT500 convertible I picked up at Dollar General:
The last 2 come from a small town drugstore (not a big name one, like CVS or Rite Aid, both of which also sell Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars), and they had a few in stock, none newer than 2012, and as old as the early 90's.
- An Opel Frogster from 2002. Got it for $1.79, can't get one on eBay for less than $5.50. I'd say that's a bargain.
- This one was the REAL gem, though. A 1992 TootsieToy Cadillac Seville, in package, in great shape (both car and package). Got it for $0.99, searched eBay...one listed in package, package looks to be in slightly rougher shape than mine...$13.25 + $3.15 S&H.
That's a major bargain.
So, yeah. I'm back, and I hope to have more cars to show you all soon. (:

I've seen the new 8 car 'Mustang 50 Years' set (not to be confused with the 'Mustang 50th' set in the 2014 Mainline) cars
There are 2 Mustang 50th sets?

Yeah, there's a set of 10 Mustang 50th cars in the 2014 mainline, plus an individual set of 8 Mustang 50 Years cars.
Mustang 50 Years:
- '62 Mustang Concept
- 1971 Mach 1
- '03 Mustang Cobra (packaged as such, although it's really the 1997 Trans Am Cobra)
- Custom '12 Mustang
- '92 Mustang
- '07 Mustang
- 1967 Mustang
- '13 Mustang
Mustang 50th (Mainline)
- '12 Boss 302 Laguna Seca
- '05 Mustang GT
- Custom '67 Mustang Coupe
- '07 Mustang
- '99 Mustang
- '71 Mach 1
- '70 Mach 1
- A different '67 Mustang
- '71 Mustang Funny Car
- An unknown (unannounced) 10th model, possibly the 2015 Mustang GT, judging by the fact that the HW Wiki lists this one as a '2014 New Model'.
Some of the cars are found in both sets, but have unique paint jobs for each version.
Also, the 8 car set has this kind of packaging.

Oh. I knew about the Mustang 50 Years set, but not the Mustang 50th. I haven't seen that packaging anywhere yet.
I assume it'll be at Walmart/Target? I need to keep an eye out.

I think it's Walmart exclusive. Some Google search results say they are, some don't say anything about store exclusivity.
All I can say is that's where I found them, and the store I went to had all 8 in stock.

How much are they each? They look like the cars that hang off to the side for $3 each. Or are they regular $0.99 cars?

They were hanging on the end cap along with a ton of normal cars, where they were marked as $0.94. Then, there was a big ROLLBACK sign that read $0.84.
Picked up one of the Mustang 50 cars, took it to the nearby price scanner...same price as the normal cars.
Probably because they're not like the 'Cool Classics' line, which has a bunch of differentiations from the mainline, where the only differences with these are the paint schemes and packaging.
Pretty neat to see a special anniversary car set that doesn't cost more than the regular cars, though. (:

Yeah, I'll check my local Walmart tonight, but I think that may have been your local Walmart being extra nice. Judging by the packaging I'm expecting those to cost the same as these....
... or $3.49 each. If thats the case, I found a guy on eBay selling all 8 of them for $20 BIN w/ free shipping ($2.50 each).

Also just found another Mustang 50th set from Hot Wheels. This time a 5 pack. Gotta keep my eye out for that one too.

I don't think individual Walmart stores have their own individual sale prices outside of clearance and those 'big discount' carts typically seen near the checkout registers.
Rollback prices are usually nationwide, kinda like when someone posted about $0.87 ones at Target. I'm sure they'll be the same price there, but who knows.
Plus, Walmart is having their 'March Rollbacks' event, so this could be part of that.

Yeah, I saw that. Seems HW and Ford are going all out with this one.
Hot Wheels and GM did something very similar with the Corvette's 60th last year.

I can't wait for the 2015 Hot Wheels to come out... it seems inevitable.

True.
Also, I did a tally of my 2014 models...I have 50 of the 2014 mainline, exactly 1/5 of the regular cars for the year, and I've yet to find the 993 GT2 or Fiat 500 anywhere.
Guess I better try looking in different locations again. I mean, that's how I found LaFerrari and the Datsun 620.
