2 days in a row there was enough snow on my driveway to shovel... in late March. Anyhow on the radio this morning I heard official snowfall totals for my city. 150.4" If you live in a metric part of the world that's 3.82m or 12.5ft. I'm looking forward to 4 consecutive days in the 40's where I can hopefully get rid of more of the snow piles in my yard.

It's been fantastic in Denver this year, snow pack in the mountains is well above average and we are just slightly below average down here ion town for the season. Best skiing/riding conditions in about 10 years. Gonna be in the 70s today :p

I don't know where my city stands in the almanac, but I know Grand Rapids, which is at ~115" is at the second highest snowfall ever for Grand Rapids. It might not be the worst winter in 100 years, but it is close.

We're hovering around 90" last I heard in metro detroit. We're 2-3 inches shy of our worst winter ever which was in the 1890's so you could say we literally had the worst winter in 100 years over here.

At one point this year the snow banks were well above my mailbox. There were probably a couple days I didn't get mail due to it not being viable for the mail carrier to get to the box. Worst part is being in a cul de sac I have a snow pile in my yard that defies logic. At one point the neighbor kids started using it as a sledding hill.

LOL.

My box was always cleaned out, but i had 6 foot snow piles that would have buried it easily.

Yesterday I took advantage of the four feet of snow to prune an apple tree in my yard. It was 12F and windy, so felt bitterly cold. But at least I could reach way up in the tree without fighting with a ladder.

According to the Golden snow globe:

http://goldensnowglobe.com/current-top-10…

Syracuse is the city with the most snow at 130"

Damn. I know what it feels like to get 100-110" as we fairly regularly see that every few years but 150" is something waaay beyond.

Grand Rapids at #4 is just 25 minutes away, but the difference between me and Grand Rapids is I can ride my bike off the pier at Lake Michigan in 5 minutes. In Grand Rapids they clearly get about 20% less snow than we do due to lake effect.
