I'm working on a story and I would love to make several references in it. For one I want to name a town Twin Peaks. (Awesome TV show from the 90s).

For the other, the characters visit a pagan village and one of the characters mentions in passing that the Harvest God of the village is a giant wolf. (Reference to Spice and Wolf since one of the characters. Holo, was a giant wolf Pagan Harvest God.)

I like these references since they're vague enough for if people that don't get them they won't notice but the people that do notice will get it.

Would I be in any danger of being sued if I used either of these? Also enjoy that Elise.

If you just say that the Harvest God is a giant wolf, I doubt there would be any problem with that. It's general enough.
