Whole numbers would've been better than "XX.X". I had a Grand Prix with a HUD. Kind of neat but not something I'd pay extra for.

This HUD is configurable to display absolutely every bit of data my OBD system has sensors for.

Yeah my Grand Prix's showed speed, turn signal and radio commands (such as the station you just landed on, etc). Like I said, I liked it but the few companies that do offer it, it's super overpriced (ahem, BMW for $2,000).

I like the ones that show the directions from the GPS though.

It's my cell phone running an app called Torque and hooked up to the OBD via a bluetooth adapter. The app has a HUD mode that mirrors the screen, so you can just put the phone up on your dash and voila! the reflection on the windscreen gives you a HUD. And, yes, Torque does have a scantool function that can pull check engine codes :)
