A lot of the time they look like this. Load time for actual pictures is slower than it was before the tiger update.

Yea it's weird because it JUST started happening for me. Even after the tiger update it didn't do it. It just decided to do it today.

Desktop, too. Looks like they pushed out an update today that only loads images when it thinks you're going to actually see them. If you scroll down real quick, you'll see a bunch of these get replaced with real pictures as Tiger and your Internet connection try desperately to keep up.
Honestly, that's a pretty ugly picture. They couldn't have picked something a little less boring, something with a bit of style?
