Today, I learned something new...

Kinja'd!!!

After going to the local car show today, I found out Yokohama makes tires out of orange oil. Anyone have any experience with these tires? While they don't come in orange, !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! because of the oil, and the rep said that it costs less than the "equivalent Michelin tire" with those benefits, but is it worth considering? I haven't heard of these before.

That would be the worst tire to have if you do burnouts ….. come would come knocking on your door minutes later.

Never heard of them before as well but the picture reminded me of M2 Machine's diecast chase cars with colored tires and white wheels.

It's been said that they do not use the aromatic part of the orange, but just use oil made from the peels instead of the traditional petroleum-based stuff, I'm sure they don't emit an orange smell.

One of my friends had yokohoma tires with the orange oil technology. They were... tires, not much to say really. He didn't have them on the car long enough to see if they lasted forever but they were certainly better tires than the BFG radial T/A's he took off.

I've got them on my forester, thought they on,y have 4000 Ish miles on them they seem to be holding up well against potholes and regular road driving.

Neat! I'll do some research, and see if they are worthy of their hype.
