It's one of those dirt lot dealers. So it's probably full of rust or problems. Still, a viable trade with cash on my side for the '04 RX8. Sure looks very good. Too good, almost.

Didn't realize you were a fellow Edmontonian. it's somewhat high mileage and 8 years old so the price seems about right to me. but I have no experience with Audi so I don't know what these should be selling for in the first place.

FWD and 4-banger? So basically the whole price is for the badge. At the same price level, an older S4 always beats an A4.

Not bad, but I still can't really understand the appeal of the A3 2.0T 6MT. If you are buying an Audi you expect Quattro, but Quattro was only available with the automatic. A Golf GTI doesn't come with the same rings up front, but seems a far better deal to me.

Not worth it to trade into a wrong wheel drive pseudo-luxury car. You haven't even gotten to live with the RX-8 through the driving months yet. . .

I recently purchased a 2007 A4 2.0T Quattro 6MT for $9K. Unless you really need the hatch utility for big item storage, the A4 is simply the better car. Interior passenger space is identical, the engine is identical, the gearbox is identical, etc.

Of course, I get proper Quattro AWD, while the "Quattro" equipped A3's actually got a Haldex system. That alone makes me dismiss the A3.

Everyone before considering an Audi need to take a look at this:

That is a standard Audi A4 front suspension. It is retarded. On you need to replace (one of) your lower balljoint first you need to disconnect allllll of this. Oh whats that your wheel/axel baring needs to be replaced? You need to disconnect all that plus that thing up top.

In conclusion there is a very good reason Audis are cheap on the second hand market. No one wants to deal with the cost of maintenance when the miles climb.
