Honestly, the best way to learn to drive stick is to take the car to an empty parking lot, and practice driving around using only the clutch pedal. It's basically the same concept as creeping your way into/out of a parking space, where you just pull the clutch out not quite to the engage point so the car can roll forward very slowly.

You can start nearly any MT car in 1st without actually using the gas pedal if you are good enough with the clutch.
