I've never actually been to it but I do know they hold a 24 hours of LeMons race there. So that's cool.

I've done a track day and a PDX there.

There's also Blackhawk Farms up north.
Nice track.

I've been up there before, it's a nice facility. I know a couple people that have memberships, one goes up at least once a week when its in season.

I'm trying to convince my buddy to Lemons race the '93 Crown Vic sitting in his driveway there. He wanted to bring it to Road America, but Lemons isn't going there this year.

It's a very nice track, not much elevation change though (at least on the South Track, I know nothing of the North Track). I know Windy City BMW holds some events there. I'll be there with them volunteering at a driving school at the end of May.

I know a few people who frequent there, but they're absolute dicks to anyone of lesser financial status than them. Kinda ruined the image of the place for me.

Yes? What do you want to know?

How is it? What's it like? Should I spend some time there?

In the interest of being fair, I really don't want to make a judgement on a place I've never been based solely on a few people. For all I know, it's a great place with good people and just a few bad apples. But I have no way of knowing.

I guess I'll have to visit some time. It's not far from me at all.

It's a very nice track and facility. Have run there with Windy City BMW club and MVP so did not have any interaction with members. Windy City typically runs on the south track and MVP uses the entire track.

Well, if you play racing simulators, you can try the virtual layout in rFactor.

If you can find a trackday to run before becoming a member that might be the best option, I personally haven't driven on the track. It's a clean facility though, the people I know who have driven it enjoy it.
