I was looking at the Acura Vigor on Wikipedia, and ended up getting to the 3rd Gen Accord, and then I saw this.

Kinja'd!!!

This is an Accord Aerodeck, a Shooting Break version of the 3rd Gen Accord only in Europe and Japan. I want it. I don't know why, but I want to lower it. It want to stick a roll cage in it. I want to give it more power.

Are there any other-country versions of regular cars that you want?

Damn, I want one now. Civic Type-R, the Japanese model from the 90's probably.

It counts because you technically 'want it'. Wanting for something to burn in hell is still wanting. Also I'm on your side. Honda, y u do dis.

Type R not coming to the US is not fair. Focus ST, Mazdaspeed 3, GTI, etc. need some more competition!

I wouldn't turn down an Accord hatch, even though I still mistake them for AE-86s.

Reminds me of the Archer episode with the FWD AE86. Everyone was debating on wether it was an Accord, or an oversight by the animators.

Actually, come to think of it Honda is pretty notorious for doing this kind of stuff. Euro Accords are pretty nice (basically the Acura TSX), Japan had a few different models...and then there are all the Type R models we don't get including the Integra of recent years. And the JDM S2000 turns things up a bit too.

Not from another country but very much different than a regular Vega.

That exists!? holy shit. They should've made a Mazdaspeed 2 to compete against the Fiesta ST and Polo GTI

Yeah, the Japanese haven't made a serious offering.

The Civic Si is here, but it's out of that league.

Honda thinks everyone in the US wants accords. They really need to look at the 'used jdm tite yo civics' that teenagers buy, perfect later-in-life Type-R buyers.

My actual response, there's this -

Kinja'd!!!

The regular Z3 convertible (even in M form) or coupe I don't really care for..but the M Coupe is such a hoot and oh so sexy.

Where do you live? These used to be quite common when i was like 5ish years old.

I actually rather like the Crosstour in spite of its...unfortunate styling.

It drives nice, has tons of room inside since it's a stretched Accord with a taller roof, and a giant trunk.

With some assistance in the looks department it can be at least improved. Neither of these cars is stunning, but they look better than stock for sure.

Kinja'd!!!

Kinja'd!!!

It's never going to be beautiful but these are a step in the right direction. Lower ride height, blacked out grille (and blacked out window trim on the black car).

Too bad Honda decided that instead of cleaning up the looks with a lower ride height and less chrome, they should add a bunch more chrome and cladding to truckify it some. Because this is now the current, even-uglier version:

Kinja'd!!!

Gah!

The Civic Si is Honda's sad excuse to an American Type R. The Civic Si Sedan ('06-'11) models are really nice though.

Kinja'd!!!

I personally love this gen Civic (the car i drive the most), but they should have made the japanese Type R for this gen come to North America. The JDM Civic is even sold in Canada as an Acura, it should have been a trim!

I'm in the San Francisco Bay Area...I want to live in whatever heaven you call home, where M Coupes are quite common!

There's actually a decent number of them out here, but I wouldn't call them "common". Here's a M Coupe pace car, and a whole bunch of them I snapped some pictures of at Dorkfest last summer (they did a few laps of Laguna Seca the same day I was attending a track day driving school event as part of Oktoberfest) -

Yeah—overseas. Agreed on the Speed2; people actually buy hot hatches so it's economically feasible and I'm sure Mazda has some motor that would be just fine in the 2.

Whenever I went to Toronto, I saw them alot. Rich people tend to have them, then the Z4 came out, and people forgot this car exists. My dad owns a Z4 he got from his brother, who had a Z3 before it. This was mostly during my childhood though, I remember loving the Z3, I had so many hotwheels.

RS2000 Evolution. If we say the RS2000 is "regular" there were only 20 evo specs of the 200 built to meet Group B qualifications (and this also assumes I'm not allowed to have the Group B spec)

Subaru Legacy RS Type-RA. The WRX's grandfather had a hand-assembled boxer turbo , standard Momo steering wheel and shift knob, and other precious performance bits needed for homologation. They only made a few hundred.

This was my third car (after a Chrysler LeBaron and then an '81 Honda Accord Coupe). This one was an absolute trooper. Being 17/18 at the time I beat it mercilessly and it never failed. It ate clutches due to my unskilled left foot, but always got me home.
