Kinja'd!!!

I found this very tempting !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! on my local Craigslist. It's AWD, has the sport package, and is loaded with options like leather and wood, and it's listed at a very reasonable $2950. The only pitfalls are that there is no mention of engine size or of mileage.

Only engine it could come with, displacement being the only differences.

Also, from CarBuzz:

The 2.5- and 3.0-liter AJ V6 engines were classified as Jaguar-made engines, although this isn't strictly true. They were basically Ford Duratec engines, with which Jaguar had fiddled a bit, including the addition of variable valve timing. This was a good thing in theory, but again, there were problems. The engines had a tendency to seize, and although it didn't happen quite as frequently as problems with the AWD system, it's still not exactly a desirable effect. -

But I'd still go for it. I'd look for an E38 first, but I'm biased!

Also:

2001 Jaguar X-Type 3.0 0-60 mph 6.2 Quarter mile 14.7

And the AWD version is said to be faster off the line
