A better question is, do we need Suzuki back as an automaker in the U.S.? Unless they can bring us cheap cars that aren't utter crap, I don't think there's a need. It would be great to see a return to affordable performance (seriously, it isn't unfeasible). Dispense with all of the fancy addons and offer me a relatively small and light weight car with respectable performance and driving dynamics for a value price and I'll absolutely buy it. I don't need useless power dials, I don't need Nav, I don't need a fancy touch screen or dual climate control, I don't need blue tooth or a hard drive or seat coolers or flappy paddles or rain sensing wipers. Give me HID's, some basic steering wheel controls for a basic (but decent radio) and give me sporty driving with a manual. The BRZ/FRS are the closest things to this, and they are overpriced for what they are. You get very little substance (driving fun excluded) for the money, and I'm thinking they make more overhead on the sales of those than Ford does on a new Fusion sale. The Miata is also overpriced (more so in hard top convertible version).

If Suzuki could provide us with a car like this, then I'd definitely welcome them back to the market, but ATM I don't see a need for another small automaker. There's already a lot of competition in the regular car market.

I do hope so, I really like Suzuki and have been kicking around the idea of an SX4 for quite a while.

Suzukis are not udder crap, and Suzuki makes so much money in Asia and Europe they do not need to sell cars in North America

Udder crap you say?

Kinja'd!!!

I never said anything about the quality of Suzuki. I said we don't need them here in the U.S. unless they can bring something of value to the market that none of the other auto makers here have.
