I kind of like the extra ride height of the Baja. I'll have to keep my eyes open for one in the junkyard to grab springs and struts from.

I think you can use forester suspension bits. I dont know subarus all that well but I have heard that a few times. I think it also works the other way around and forester people put the impreza/outback suspension in for a small drop.

Yeah, I've read that Subaru suspension is pretty much like Legos from mid 90's to mid 00s or so. The Baja suspension is supposed to be a good swap for 1999 and earlier Outbacks, as the ride height is similar (I've read that you can get up to .5" lift depending on how saggy your old springs were), but the damping and spring rates are firmer so you get less body roll and nosedive.
