Does anyone have any kind of work around for kinja mobile. This is how I do 95% of my surfing and all I get is 2-10 preview words and a title with the occasional picture thrown in every 15-20 posts. It took 6 tries of selecting the drop down box to create a post when I select it the whole page refreshes instead of giving me all my options it should.. I've been too busy last couple weeks to follow all the buzz. Is this really the finished product? I love me some oppo and am willing to try anything but this setup has all but stopped me from clicking/sharing/commenting.. When I'm home and on a real pc will certainly continue visiting but come on kinja overlords hook us up! PS not trolling for trouble or hate truly missing a good thing.

I have the "no pictures" issue on mobile as well, but I haven't encountered the new post fail. I know others have.

I'm also missing pictures, but I thought it was because I have ad blockers on my phone.

If you try chrome, you can "request desktop site" to gain a little functionality, but chrome usually crashes on me so I suck it up on safari

That's all you're seeing because that's all there is. Those posts were a picture and a single line of text, and you can't see the picture on mobile.

In an effort to "improve" the mobile performance, the folks at Gawker thought it would be helpful to remove the pictures, presumably thinking this would increase their mobile viewership. If you've ever been on Oppo or any other Gawker site since Tiger you'll see that a handful of pictures are much bigger than the others. These are the ones that were promoted by the mods (or the author in the case of Jalopnik and other flagship sites), and these are the ones that will show up on mobile. The small thumbnails will not. Oppo mods don't have the time to go through and embiggen every picture that we post, so you will see very few pictures on mobile going forward. We need to write our congressman about this, but I don't think it's going to change anytime soon.
