Anyone need to plug in some Christmas lights? Maybe a wet/dry vac?
Apparently, when you wreck your daily driver (this car has been like this for months) and you need to make sure your hood doesn't fly up, you can just find any old thing lying around in the garage, including an extension cord, and tie it to your grille and safety catch.
Believe it or not, this picture was taken in a very wealthy suburb of Philadelphia - not, as you might imagine, in Hickville USA.
I can only hope that the people who are injured when this breaks on the highway and the car crashes somehow stumble upon this picture to use as evidence of gross negligence and reckless disregard for human life.

Meh, extension cords are quite strong - I just hope whatever they wrapped it around is equally so.

Meh that thing can survive at least another 2 crashes, maybe even a roll over and still be safer than a Kia.

No, you see, a hick would actually have rope to tie it down with. This is perfectly suburban redneck.

I sure hope that doesn't pass inspection.

It won't. That sticker is out (it says 10 of 13), but I didn't go around the back to check that the plate was still PA. God I hope it gets a ticket soon, but they almost never ticket for inspection in the suburbs.
