Using the most Jalop stove in the whole world, a 1949 Chambers 90C. I think Jagvar has a secret agenda to make me hungry as all hell right around lunchtime with his !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . So here it is my revenge :) Getting all that pizza money the right way. Make your own as suggested by Mrtheengineer!

These are some pics of a random scratch apizza I made a year or so ago. Prep took about an hour. Got to get that oven blazing hot. Some people even take an old oven with self clean and disable the safety switch. I catch about 650/700 degrees out of the cast iron box here though.

YAY pizza! Ended up with one made of leftover meatball, one clam and bacon white pie, and a bbq chicken and onion. You cannot mess with my pizza...

It's only 9:30 am here and now both of you are making me hungry...

Also, last night I made a new pizza and it was awesome. Slow cooked sausage and peppers pizza. Made some spicy sauce, simmered the onions and peppers, mixed em in the sauce, cooked the sausage mixed it in the sauce and let it slow cook for 1 hr : 30 min. Threw that on top the dough, topped it with fresh grated mozzarella and provolone... Awesome.

Nothing cooks like good seasoned cast iron. I love making tuna steaks on mine in the winter.

I was looking at getting a sausage making machine. my parents / grandparents used to have all these cool things to make everything from sausage to pasta and it was so much fun to make, I don't have any of that stuff now though.

One of the few benefits of living in the Buffalo region is the Pizza. You can take your New Yorks and your Chicagos and shove'em up your ass. The Pizza places here in Western New York are the best. La Nova's, Mister Pizza, Besta, Pizza Oven, Lock City - the list goes on and on.

best thing, get a good KitchenAid. I got a Professional 600 and the attachments for pasta and a chute/grinder for sausage. Just a matter of time. The only thing I make on the regular is Weisswurst because you cannot get it anywhere around here. weisswurst, brown gravy and a pretzel. Food of champions right there. At least German ones :)

New Haven Apizza is the best to me. Sinatra used to send his people to New Haven when he played in New York to grab him pies from Sally's Apizza. But I have been up there too in your neck of the woods and it is totally better than either of the big pizza cities

I make my own pizzas and calzones (surprise!) all the time. I had never heard about using the self cleaner but now I might have to fuck with my stove. We hardly ever buy pizza anymore but when we do it is usually Mia Lina's in Winthrop.
