Is it just me, or are the sealed beams on the new Corolla an eyesore?

Kinja'd!!!

As much as I'd like to praise Toyota for trying to make the new Corolla an attractive car, one thing will always get on my nerves, the new Corolla's sealed HID beams. They are blinding, just about as bad as cheap aftermarket parts. Every time I see one coming, I have to look away, and squint, while seeing an 8 year-old BMW's headlights the other way doesn't hurt the eyes.

I remember around the time when I was practicing for my driving test back in October, I was sharing the parking lot with another car, which was a by chance, a brand new Corolla. Since then, I've been annoyed by the lights installed in those cars, The temperature of the colour is at the point of annoyance.

The entire car is an eyesore in my opinion.

The effect of the dark housings next to the smaller inner reflectors is to reduce the main lamps when unlit to mascara for the inner units. The "eye" effect it produces is a chubby person with beady little crossed eyes.

As to what they're like when on, haven't noticed.

Honestly? I think almost every new car that's come out in the past 3 or so years has had eyesores for headlights. It's baffling to me. At least they don't run halfway up the front fenders on the Corolla, which seems to be the big trend right now.

They are LEDs. But their K is higher than what even Audi is using by the looks of it.
