Pricing on cars is tricky, usually overpriced. What is the most under priced car on sale, that could have been asked more for, but wasn't.
For me, I'd have to say the Camaro, $23,000 is a good price. I'd much rather have a base model Camaro, over a base model Accord.

If the news reports are true then the Veyron is the most underpriced car on sale today. Because VW loses a ton of money on each car.
But that might just be BS so who knows...

Yep! There are so few of them selling that some dealers are literally knocking close to $10k or more off sticker.
I recently saw one for $18k. Damn, had I been in the market for a car then, I would've chosen the Abarth over my smart. And that's funny, because I love my smart...but you can't beat that price for that car!

I'd actually say that's pretty accurate. Look at all the cars you can buy for a million dollars (or close to it). Most of them are race cars with some creature comforts and turn indicators. The Veyron is a top of the line luxury car that has excessive everything. Based on the "competition", the Veyron should cost a lot more than it actually does.

Step 4: Buy moar cars.
Step 5: Never mind...there's no profit coming out of this...

There is no immediate profit. But you don't need that when you have that much money.
All you have to do is chill and wait 30 years. Then you'll be moar rich than you would have been if you bought stocks.

03/16/2014 at 21:53 | 0 |
I like mine so far. I only got $3k off sticker because I bought mine in the NY/NJ area and they sell so well there. But places in the Midwest and Southeast US $7-8k off sticker on 2013 models is common. For 2013, Fiat US made a couple thousand too many and the dealers are panicking because half of them are still NEW on the lot. It's a very niche market (WHY?!?).
...The 2014 models don't have much of any discount. They are exactly the same as the 2013, with the following potatupgrades:
*two* armrests up front instead of one to share
passenger seat is *ONE INCH* lower!!1
The best part of the Abarth: add a $400 ECU and increase HP/TQ from 160/180 to 190/210..
Then add a ram intake and solid torque mounts for $300 and SUDDENLY RACE CAR
I should state that I'm very biased. Owned two 500s. Perfect inner-city hoonmobile

I'm also in the NY/NJ area, did you buy it from the Fiat dealer in North Jersey? I pass by there once in a while. I'm considering one, and with the discounts it's hard to argue their value. And I love the way they look.
The great thing about turbo'd cars is that initial power figures can pretty much be ignored. Simple changes and SUDDENLY RACE CAR.

I bought mine at "Fiat of Maple Shade" (South Jersey, in... Maple Shade)
They tried to rip me off at every turn. Luckily I saw everything (that I know of). I do NOT recommend them. The service department is great though, free rentals for me every time I had my car in for more than a few hours. So that is nice.
In the end, I got mine for ~$3k below sticker with a 0%APR loan from Fiat/Chrysler.
The best dealer I have experience with was Fullerton Fiat (Somerville). I showed up with a friend, made it clear that I was just curious, and I was HANDED the keys to an Abarth *cabrio* and told to be back in an hour. I don't look rich, just a mid-20s skinny white dude. I wasn't even in uniform. Just jeans and a t-shirt.
No salesman ride-along. Just me and my two friends. Oh man the nearby neighborhood was piiiiisssed! That's what sealed the deal.
The reason I went to the first dealer was they they were closest at the time.
I feel that I would have got the same numbers at both dealers, but the first one was so.. sleazy..

That is the best reason to add to your drives. The only reason why I haven't decided on this car yet is because the Fiesta ST exists. I'm quite conflicted.

03/16/2014 at 23:12 | 0 |
Oh man. Tough one there.
I drove one while stationed overseas. I'm assuming it's the same(ish?) one we're getting.
The ST's handling is great. The ride quality is more refined than the Abarth. Understeers a bit at the limit (FWD etc). More practical. Mileage was about the same. Upper 30's if you drive sensibly (yeah right), and mid-20s if you drive very spiritedly. It is a more sensible choice if you aren't as concerned about every inch of parking space.
But then I drove an Abarth with the windows and top down..
"FUCK IT, ABARTH ALL THE THINGS BRRRAAAAAPP BBBRRRAAAAP"
I honestly think you'll love either. Obviously drive both. The Abarth seating/wheel/pedal position is love/hate. I LOVE it. All depends on your inseam to arm ratio and what you normally drive. It's set up for heel-toe. Also, the Abarth WILL reward you with oversteer at the limit when lifting off or braking. And not mild FWD lift-off oversteer, I mean "holy shit dat ass" in a good way...
Shifter is odd. You drive it sensibly and it feels like stirring warm Nutella with gravel. I blame the beefy synchros. You drive it hard and it's perfect.
Yeah, my analogies and structure are terrible. It's late. Haha..
Either way both cars are fantastic. Whatever you get post pics and a review for all to see!

03/16/2014 at 23:17 | 0 |
Thanks for your honest opinion! I love oppo! People aren't so brand loyal that they block everything else out.
I'll definitely have to drive them to really be sure. I've heard mixed things about the seating positions for the Abarth, but I'm sure it won't be a problem. The Fiesta seems like the most sensible choice, and the Abarth is the FUCK YEAH FUN AWESOME car.
Goodnight and thanks again!

Nonsense! LOL.
The Camaro and Challenger look better, and handle better. The Mustang has never been able to take a corner... Also, the Mustang with the v6 performance package is closer to 6 seconds, at 5.8
http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/seda…
The WRX and Genesis R Spec, are faster.
The Lancer Ralliart ties the Mustang
Camaro and Challenger are slower in a line, everything else really is better (that matters, screw "touch plastics")
2015 might be a game changer though for the Mustang. I really sort of hope so.
