Simple as that. Seeing the car in person made me like the car and brand even more. It's a great creation and might be the best American car currently produced. So, what are you guys thinking? Vote and leave your Oppoinion below.

100% fuck yes. It's the ultimate DD. It gives you more time/money/resources to care about your sports car and it's so usable/practical. There is nothing else that checks that as much boxes as the Tesla does.

It's really a great car. Lots of storage, electric, American built. If only I had the money, haha.

gotta go with this... I would love to be able to claim ownership. And then figure out how to mount a .50 Cal pintle for the rear facing tail gunners. Mind you, I would probably settle for a 7.62.

Same haha. I'd definitely own a Tesla for a DD. I can't think of anything else better at anywhere near the price point.

Unless it drinks petrol I am just not interested.

I'd assume all you have to do is remove the tailgate altogether and mount it somewhere.

Nope. They look nice and I'm sure they're very comfortable BUT I want a car that I can work on and fix in my driveway and not have to take to a dealer.

Couldn't agree more. Simple, classy car to DD. Then you can hoon whatever you want on the weekends.

Exactly. It's easy/cheap to run so you won't ever have to worry about it.

Do I want to spend my time in an 80k Porsche or a Telsa.......hmmmm easy.
millennial mobile is respectable technology, but it's still a rich persons toy, get real people.

Well you can't do that... I want the subtle approach to having a 3 foot steel barrel mounted in a turret sticking off the back of your car to deter tailgaters. It's a Tesla, gotta keep it classy.

No, I haven't read it but glancing over it, I can see that it makes all the sense. Like Elon said in today's article earlier, updates and fixes are done over the air, which means service centers will essentially become obsolete. I read once somewhere that the Tesla only has 22 moving parts, which is just absurd.

nope, and if one were given to me i wouldn't drive it until ALL the body panels were removed. and the interior was gutted. no doors, no seatbelts, and a cheap plastic racing seat that isn't adjustable.
i'd want 15" steelies and 60 series tires, too.

Well, you can resort to automation, because Tesla. That'll be heavy and complex for it to fold out all on it's own though.

Yeah, the tax deduction is also great. One of the biggest game changer cars in my opinion in the last century.

Agreed! They are the future. Several news articles claim that they have outsold all of their BMW, Mercedes and Audi competition, hope to see some more cars coming from Tesla in the near future!

Further proof that they are better cars. People go out of their way to get Teslas that their states don't allow them to buy. That's how desirable they are over the competition.

Let me put it this way, if I had the money I wouldn't NOT consider one. I don't really have any real animus towards electric cars. Sure, electric cars as they are today aren't necessarily the answer (or even as clean as some claim them to be); but like any tech it will probably get better and better as it evolves.

Safety, is amazing on them also. Times are changing, and this is what America wants. Electric, safe, American made, not to mention how great it looks with the glass roof. The states that don't want people to buy them are missing out, people will find a way to get behind their rules.

Makes sense. I just though having a car you didn't need to worry about would leave more time for a project car.

When I went to one of their dealerships I spoke to a salesman. He said there's a guy that buys about 6 or so every few months. He buys them and sells them at a premium. They are in such high demand. The wait is I think 2-3 months, some people can't wait and just buy the one on the floor or the dealership loaners.

Wow, thanks for sharing, that proves even more the demand. I'm glad that an American luxury car has a good foothold on the American market. Chances are the buyers are people who came from various other luxury cars.
Even though I drive an A4, I'm glad.

Would I buy one? It's not high on my list of cars to own simply because I love petrol engines too damn much. If I was Jay Leno rich, yeah I'd buy one, but mainly to support Tesla. Elon Musk is a genius visionary who really seems to care about the future and well being of humanity. He's also got charisma, like it or not, that most other people like him don't have. A stale robot, he is not.

But why bother with a .50? Huge battery would power a mini gun.
