I just bought, not only Tesla, but SolarCity stock as well. His financial doom has been assured. Admittedly, I did not have a large amount of money to invest, but it does seem that a little of my hard earned money does go a long way in either devaluing or stagnating the value of whatever I purchase. You have been warned. Pic for your troubles.

Jeff, I feel your pain. There's got to be a way for (someone else to) make money from my stock picks.

Note to self: don't look at the stock price after selling it. :-(

I'm gonna need you to go stand in a corner and punch yourself in the crotch for the next few minutes.... One of my clearest early memories of Tesla is that when the Model S was still in development, you could have bought one for something like 35-38 thousand if memory serves. He was selling them before final development to get the funding to complete them. I still kick myself for not having the money to have bought one then.

You know, I was just thinking about that this afternoon. I think I need to do one of two things; either I contact the company and tell them that for "X" amount of dollars, I will NOT buy their stock, or, 2) I will tell my friends and family that I will be making a stock purchase in the next few hours and to go ahead and make any short sells that they need to in light of that information.

If you could make the first option work it would be more profitable, but something tells me the second is more doable. :-)
Maybe I'm going to start telling friends and family that my gift to them this year is the knowledge of what stocks I'm buying so they can profit by shorting.

I think all I would need to do is show them my track record. They would cave pretty quick.

I bought DDD at $56 and was stubborn not to sell at $97. Now it's back down to $60. I feel retarded.

I had been holding on to some Home Depot that I had had for about 12 years... bought it at 68, watched it plummet into the 30's, and finally it crawled back up to 81 where I sold it. Great return on investment there, let me tell ya. So now I bought Tesla and HD is free to climb to the stars.
