It's not so much that we are expecting an apology. It's that there is the potential for serious abuse with a bug/flaw in the system which should be limited to staff editors and IT.

Though this would be the place to say that while we appreciate white hat hackers, folks who actually abuse this sort of thing (I don't know I would call yours abuse, more than just testing, a couple of choice words being something which people could take exception to), could end up losing privileges.

We don't need a public apology, and I don't know that we asked for one. But there are tools which are limited to paid staff only for a reason. That said: Don't do it again. Don't tell anyone else how you did it. And the bug will resolved in the near future.
