yeah, Canberra. There's still plenty of FG's Falcons getting about though.
There's a VF SS wagon too. I've seen it pull over a few cars lately.

Yeah, the last time the NZ Police used Fords was aaaaages ago with the EL and AU Falcon...I wonder what they'll change to after the VF phases out. The fact that no more RWD V6/V8 Police cars will exist kinda seems strange.

That's what I've been wondering, The Feds switched to the BMW X5's sedans for the VIP escorts here as they couldn't get the armoured Caprices anymore. The PM himself will get an armoured 7 series when the lease is up on the current Caprice.
The BMW's are quite a bit cheaper 'cause they're off the shelf too.
I think it's a good chance the HWP are interested in BMW's as they're already offered in LHD for the UK police.. though it'd be cool if Ford offered the Police Interceptor for the LHD market too.
Regular patrol cars might be V6 Camry's for all we know though.
