and precision-tuned sense of what consumers want?
98% of Jalops are already disqualified right there. Consumers don't want manual, brown, diesel, station wagons.

Best to leave that off the resume.

I'm still baffled by the juxtaposition of "passion for cars" and "Consumer Reports". Also: Dat formatting.

I don't see that as a juxtaposition. Who the hell wants to drive hundreds of cars for hours on end if you don't have a passion for them?
That sounds like absolute hell for someone who doesn't have a passion for cars.

Biased towards Jap cars is not a requirement? I am surprised.

It was a good week to start building out the resume with featured articles...

Seriously. I've never understood the amount of hate that Consumer Reports gets around here.
It's because of their sterling review of the car (among many other factors, I might add) that led to my current purchase of a 2013 Mazda3 Hatchback.
I defy anyone to point a better source that tests literally hundreds of cars a year, for multiple years. There just isn't a better aggregate source when looking for long-term automotive figures and intangibles. The most you'll get from places like Edmunds, Motortrend, AutoMag, etc are one year drives and that's it.

I guess just a "passion for cars" significantly different to how we typically understand it here. Passion for the industry, passion for the technical aspects, passion for production quality, the nationality expression birthed in metal, wood, and plastic form, synthesis of design visions, mechanical beauty, even. Just not necessarily passion for them as *drivers' cars*.

They do good work. Their reviews are very thorough, and their headlines are free of clickbait sensationalism. Their articles don't reek of liberal bias to the point of inaccurate claims that are harmful to their credibility. As a result, their product isn't as popular with the Jalop-aged crowd.
