Please don't leave Oppo. Just like every other Kinja change we'll eventually get used to it, and it will likely change a little bit so we can kind of meet it in the middle. So please don't run away over a little change :P

I am not going to run from it but neither will I use it if it infuriates me. Change can be good, but change from a fully functional system to the inevitable shit show that will ensue for possibly a few weeks won't be great. I will read a few posts but my comment rate will probably sink like a stone.

I'll still browse Oppo, but I don't think I will comment. Tiger is just so damn complicated it's nearly unusable. We're going to lose a lot of great commentary here starting tomorrow.

Yeah, I really hope this place doesn't fall apart/ decline drastically. I'd like to think if we try and this layout still doesn't work for us that we would somehow be able to get some kind of change, but that's probably just wishful thinking. I haven't been messing around with tiger much before in preview mode but it seems like if you select all replies at the bottom it's pretty close to current kinja

I've fooled around with Tiger and tried to learn it but to to no avail. I wanted to learn it and I've tried since the day we were able to use it, but it's too damn complicated and it takes too much work to join or see a discussion. I'm bummed cause it seems like a lot of people on Oppo, including myself, will just leave, but who knows. I guess wel'll find out in the coming days/weeks.

Yeah, I'm on mobile and using it now and it's not too bad, can't say much about desktop currently.
Who has indicated that they might leave? I think I saw someone earlier that said they were but I can't remember who...

A number of people said they would just give up when Oppo changes to Tiger, but I can't remember specific names. It's going to be interesting to see who sticks around and keeps commenting and posting when it switches.

I haven't really found it that hard to use. It does have quite the learning curve, still prefer the current comment style. But it does have quite a nice layout for mobile.

I completely agree with you. I have to look at the desktop version more to form an opinion, but most of my posting is from mobile anyway and it's not that bad actually, besides the fact that pictures still aren't showing up on both Jalopnik and the Oppo FP.

The biggest thing bothering me is the comments system...In my opinion, the best part of Oppo isn't the articles, but the interactions. Tiger makes the comments a mess. They become hard to follow and separate. What is wrong with the current layout? I easily see who said what and where divisions are. I love Tiger for everything else. I like the layout of things and the like but the comments piss me off.

Yeah, I would've preferred it to stay the same also, but from what I can tell on mobile, if you select "all replies" or "all comments" at the bottom instead of "highlights" it looks a lot better.

Yeah that bit is admittedly irritating but I bet it's in the works for a fix soon.
