There's a boiled water order in effect for the city I live in (Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada). Thankfully I've got a rather nice ceramic filter that should handle things.
On a more automotive related note, why does it always have to be a Dodge truck driver who is a clueless moron?

Be careful unless you're using Iodine tablets as well; filtering, unlike boiling, will not take care of viruses without more.

True enough. Looks like my filter doesn't cover viruses: http://www.mec.ca/product/5021-4…

Boil the water, to be safe.
Also, there's a hierarchy of douche bag drivers on the road. On the top of that list is Dodge Diesel owners with large stacks, followed closely by Dodge Diesel owners, Chevrolet Duramax owners and Ford Powerstroke owners. Rounding out the top five is Lexus RX series SUV owners.
You get extra points if you have an "Oilfield Trash" sticker in your back window.

If my city told me to conserve water by not washing my car, I would be washing it every single day until they stopped dumping tons of salt on the roads

I see you have met my boss?

Oops. Either way, it's a jacked up diesel.
To my credit, though, it's normally Dodge owners who seem to be morons.

I'm not a total moron at least in the work truck...
In the Fusions at work with the Goverment plates however...

It's not a salt related problem. The reason for the boiled water order is because of turbidity - the past few days have been really warm, so all the snow has melted, making the river a big mess.

Not all Dodge owners are morons. I had a friend who was a genuinely good guy, and he had a Cummins. There just seems to be more Dodge owners out there who have huge stacks/pipes, and remove their particulate filters so they can leave a lovely trail of soot everywhere they go.

I'm all for defeating the emissions systems, since I've removed my cats, I would be a hypocrite so I can't really say anything.
But doing it for the sole purpose of "rolling coal" its dumb and senseless. You lose horsepower and TQ when you just smoke a lot, my friends truck makes monster numbers with little to no smoke, just puffs on the line and then nothing else.
You don't need to smoke to make HP and TQ

Yea I got that, Im just referring to the fact that my city uses so much salt on the roads, so if I wasn't to wash my car every few days it would rust away stupidly quick
