How much separation is there between a standard production car and a top-level WRC car? Probably less than you think. Here's an awesome TV special (broken into four pieces because YouTube), that talks about how a production car becomes a rally car and how a new car is designed.

This is why WRC is still interesting to me. Yes there is a lot of money in the sport, yes its OBVIOUSLY not like something I do everyday BUT the cars are actually based one I can buy and are close enough to production that it matters who makes it and how.
You can tell a Finn but you can't tell him much

Curse them for disabling embedding before I could watch them. I want the jack stand sockets in my rockers so bad. They would be so handy for so many things.
